A New Menu Every Month

January 16, 2010 | posted by AKW Jay

A knife’s work has been preparing creative take home meals for over a year now.  We thank the community for their support and feedback.  Up until this point, we have offered a weekly changing menu to delight your palates.  While this has been a joy to many it has also been distressing to some due to the fleeting nature of a weekly menu.  We received many emails lamenting the loss of one dish or another and requesting its presence on future menus.

This month we chose to address this issue by slightly altering the format of our take home meals.  We will still provide delicious seasonal meals but will now offer a fixed menu for an entire month.  In this way, those dishes that strike a chord will be available for you to enjoy and share with friends until the new monthly menu takes its place.

As always, we invite you to share your comments with us and help us provide that tastiest take-home in Ann Arbor.

Hey Everyone, it’s our Birthday!

November 17, 2009 | posted by AKW Jay

That’s right! Can you believe it’s already been a year? Just about this time last year we started selling our take home meals at Everyday Wines and we’re here to say a BIG thanks to everyone that’s supported us and tried a dish along the way. Without your support and hunger for great food, we never could have made this last year possible. As a show of our appreciation, we’ll be offering 1/2 off any second dish you buy this week. Simply print off the coupon on this page and take it to Everyday Wines with you. The coupon is only good for this week, so get it while it’s hot! Oh and feel free to pass the it around to your friends and family, we won’t get mad.

Again, thank you to all! And remember, there’s nothing better than a fully belly.

Your friends,

Jay and Brendan

South Korea Runs on Dunkin: Kimchi Donuts!

October 31, 2009 | posted by AKW Jay

Well, I’ve definitely had scallion pancakes and steamed buns, but never a kimchi donut! I recently found this floating around the web and couldn’t believe the greatness of what I was seeing. It seems Dunkin Donuts is releasing five new ethnic flavors regionally around the world. This includes a yogurt-filled one in Greece and soy-filled one in Japan. The donut has no hole, so they are calling them kimchi croquette. This could eather be one of the greatest food inventions since sliced bread or one of the worst since salted licorice (sorry to all the salted licorice lovers out there). I’m not holding my breath for the soy-filled though.
